NATURAL BODIES FEATURES RAW VEGAN WBFF PRO “NATHANE JACKSON”
Nathane L. Jackson is a WBFF Pro Fitness Model, Strength & Conditioning coach and trainer, Owner of Nathane Jackson Fitness, Vega Ambassador, TV fitness personality and lecturer.
It was a combination of things that lead me to becoming a raw vegan athlete. For many years I had been following the typical meat eating bodybuilder nutrition plan and even though I looked great aesthetically I just didn’t feel on par internally. I switched to an organic version of the same nutrition plan and instantly felt much cleaner. However, as much as my body thanked me I felt I could go further. In the winter of 2009 my mom was very ill and had been in the hospital fighting pneumonia. This allowed her battle with cancer to intensify and really take over her body. For the better part of a decade my mom had taken part in many chemotherapy and radiation programs and was fed up with all the pain and discomfort that accompanied these treatments. She vowed that if she was able to leave the hospital one last time she would try something new.
My entire lifestyle changed
Through all my research I discovered the true healing power of nutrition and super food. My mom was able to prolong her life and do so with actually being able to live it her way. She was no longer confined to an oxygen tank and there were no more side effects from chemotherapy and radiation. My mom was a free woman again. It was now time for me to make the change as well. Within 6 months, I was almost a completely Raw Vegan. I love that I am nourishing my body with live living foods 95% of the time. The large variety of living foods I am able to consume is rewarding on so many levels I never expected.
Living food provides many tasty variations to staples like salads, homemade juices and smoothies but also opens the door for so many new and delicious recipes using grains, vegetables, nuts and seeds. I take comfort in knowing I am feeding my body what it needs to thrive all while helping myself to stay disease free and functioning at an optimal level.

I love how I feel on a day to day basis and I am grateful for the opportunity to show others that raw vegans can succeed athletically as well as aesthetically. I have been told by many that my raw vegan lifestyle has inspired others to change their own habits and in a few cases I have helped save a life. Knowing that I have helped so many people motivates me to continue to learn more about the power of raw foods and to share my knowledge with others.
