Another important component in this shake is the live enzymes that are found only in Raw Food.Enzymes are essential for the digestion and the assimilation process of  building muscle and maintaining health. Most trainers neglect recommending live enzymes in diets that they prescribe before a competition or when consulting people on losing weight. Remember  always think efficiency when consuming a meal into your body or training it!

Raw Ingredients and Tools

Magic Bullet &  A Coffee Grinder

Plain or Vanilla Almond Milk
3/4 Frozen Organic Banana Brown or Spotted
Hand Full Frozen Mangos
One Scoop Vanilla SunWarrior Protein Powder
1 tsp  Maca Powder
1 Spoon Raw Cacao Nibs
Large Spoon Raw Organic Honey
1 tsp Hemp Seeds

Preparation

Aside from the Love you put into whatever you make to consume, preparation is probably one of the most important elements in creating a great tasting Raw Shake. I learnt the importance of preparation form the Japanese culture who are masters in food preparation and raw dishes. Make sure you have everything you need before you start.

Here are the 5 easy steps for this Shake!

1-Raw Cacao & Hemp Seeds

The first step to making this Cookie Dough Protein shake is to grind your cacao nibs with the hemps seeds. This creates a higher absorption rate for both the raw cacao and hemp seeds. Your goal is to conserve energy in digestion so you want to make it easier for your body to digest anything that will be used to build it!

2-Almond Milk

Get your magic bullet out and begin by filling it 3/4 full with either fresh homemade prepared almond milk, almond breeze vanilla or the unsweetened natural flavor. Either of the three will work however it is always best to use raw almond milk made yourself. If your on the go and have no time to prepare your almond milk yourself use almond breeze.

3-Frozen Banana & Mangos

At this point you should have the almond milk, grinded cacao and hemps seeds already in your bullet. Cut 3/4 of a frozen organic banana and drop that in the shake.

The banana must be organic and brown or spotted this is important if you want this shake to taste its best. When a banana is spotted or brown most of the starched have broken down and converted to sugars this is what you want. Organic banana definitely taste better so that is important also. Add a handfull of  frozen mangos. This  creates the smooth taste and texture.

4-Maca & Raw Honey

Drop one large spoonful of  honey. Honey is always great for taste and will help you adjust how sweet you want your protein shake. make sure to use unpasteurized raw honey. pasteurized honey does not react the same way in your body as raw honey in its natural state.

Honey’s best friends are definitely maca and raw cacao. Maca is a wonderful addition to this shake for its distinct taste and its adoptogenic qualities. The maca root powder has also shown to help increase energy which is  why I include it in this shake.

5-SunWarrior Protein

Last and not least the component that provides the complete amino acid profile without the bloating affects of Whey proteins and synthetic supplements the Vanilla SunWarrior protein. Add just 1 full scoop which provides you with 15 grams of protein.  This is a “Raw Protein” and has one of the highest absorption rates for protein intake on the market!

Blend all these ingredients together and enjoy. Drink this 30-45 minutes before your workout for proper digestion.  This is a good pre-workout shake . It tastes so good you won’t believe its RAW!!!
